Hot water, clean, no bugs in room, front desk clerk was polite, check in went well with reservation, no hassle getting deposit back at checkout. Smooth all around. One faucet had a messed up handle but at check in I was told about it by the clerk who explained how to make it work, and it worked just the way he explained.

We booked the jacuzzi room. HIDDEN GEM! Room was huge, clean, PRIVATE . Room is in back of hotel first floor with virtually no other rooms on any side but 1 . Jacuzzi was huge with ambient lighting which created a very romantic atmosphere . Also located on a beach corner , no heavy traffic . Very friendly staff , gentleman had our room setup with towels , soaps, air conditioning set on arrival. Very welcoming and romantic. Who knew a place like this existed off the beaten path and without having to deal with going into city to a larger hotel and crowds. PERFECT ROMANTIC WEEKEND GETAWAY FOR A COUPLE ! Will definitely book again.

We were unaware that breakfast was available. We enjoyed the personal hospitality of the innkeeper. Our room was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was amazing.

Mostly quiet. If rooms are available, may get a free upgrade. Male owner very nice. In all, very pleased.

The place was peaceful, tidy, and nice owners.. the pics on here are old the rooms are renovated with flat screen tvs

Unfortunately, we didn't know they offered breakfast, and our ride came very early a.m. And we checked out...I loved the snowy view of the Chesapeake River.... I would stay there again, the Mexican restaurant next door was a plus, especially since we weren't driving and didn't know the area.

Great place to stay. Great location. My only 3 recommendations. 1 change the towels they had rips in them or were ready to break. 2 change the sheets it was a "smoking room" me and my wife do not smoke but it was the only available with the jacuzzi, the sheets had holes in them, 3 Chand and replace light bulbs some were not working or not there at all. But overall good stay. You'll be about 40 minutes away from VA Beach. There are also a couple of nice restaurants near by. I did not take any photos but it was great.
